They provide calm, preventative support when someone feels unsafe, and work alongside security or emergency services when needed.

Not every unsafe situation is obvious. Not everyone feels able to ask for help. SafeGuards close this gap by being present, attentive, and human — before situations escalate.

1. Recognize: early signs of discomfort, boundary violations, or unsafe dynamics
2. De-escalate: calmly through communication, presence, and clear boundaries
3. Support & act: by staying with the affected person, activating SafeSpace tools, and involving emergency services when needed
To ensure consistent quality, ethics, and responsibility, all SafeGuards complete the same SafeGuard Workshop Standard within the Our.safespace ecosystem.
This shared training ensures alignment, accountability, and reliable support across all environments.

Venues do not book SafeGuards individually.
SafeGuards are trained and implemented through SafeLocation
certification to ensure clear roles and consistent safety standards.
Our.safespace and SafeGuards do not replace law enforcement, medical services, or professional security.
They support prevention, awareness, and calm intervention, and help activate appropriate services when required.
